About lora wireless range
In big plants, inverters, meter panels and sensors are often far apart: on different roofs, in different buildings, or across a road. Laying RS485 cable between them costs money and time.
LoRa is a long-range radio link made for small amounts of data, like meter and inverter readings. A LoRa Wireless Node connects to a device on RS485 and passes its data by radio. A LoRa Gateway collects the data from all the nodes and sends it on to the Solar Portal.
Radio range depends on the site: distance, walls, metal sheds and antenna height all matter. Share a rough layout of your site and we will advise how many nodes you need and where to place them.
