Solution
Wireless Plant Networks with LoRa
Connect inverters, meters and sensors across your plant by long-range radio, without long RS485 cables.
The problem
In big plants the inverters, meter panels and sensors are often far apart: on different roofs, in different buildings, or across a road. RS485 cable to each of them is costly and slow to lay.
Long cable runs also pick up electrical noise, and they get cut or damaged during other work at site. Each fault means lost data and another site visit.
How it works
What you get
- Less cable and less labour
- Faster installation
- Fewer faults from damaged cables
- Easy to add more devices later
- Works for monitoring and for control
- Layout advice from our team
Planning tips
- Radio range depends on distance, walls, metal sheds and antenna height.
- Mount antennas high and clear of metal where you can.
- Send us a rough site sketch or a map screenshot with the device locations. We will suggest how many nodes you need and where to place them.
LoRa wireless: connect your plant without long cables
LoRa nodes link meters and inverters across a plant by long-range radio; the gateway collects them and sends the data to the Solar Portal. Options with built-in UPS and DG-sync. English voice.
