Solution

Plant Weather Station & Performance

Measure sunlight, temperature and wind at your plant, and know if it is producing what it should.

Plant Weather Station & Performance

The problem

Low generation on a day can mean many things: clouds, heat, dust, shading or a fault. Without weather data at the plant, you cannot tell which one it is.

Plant owners and EPC teams then discuss performance without facts, and real problems like dirty panels or a weak string stay hidden for weeks.

How it works

  1. An irradiation sensor is mounted at the same tilt as the panels.
  2. A module temperature sensor is fixed on the back of a panel.
  3. Ambient temperature and wind speed sensors complete the station.
  4. A data logger reads the sensors together with the inverters and meters.
  5. Weather data shows on the Solar Portal next to the energy data.
  6. Compare energy with sunlight to see how well the plant performs.

What you get

  • Know the true performance of the plant
  • Spot dust, shading and faults early
  • Plan panel cleaning with data
  • Fair reports for plant handover and O&M
  • Explain low-generation days with facts

What is performance ratio (PR)?

PR compares the energy your plant actually made with the energy it could have made from the sunlight it received. A falling PR on clear days often points to dirty panels, shading or a fault. Irradiation and module temperature are the two key inputs.
