Overview
Solar panels make less power when they are hot. On a bright summer afternoon, panel temperature can be far above the air temperature, and output drops.
The Module Temperature Sensor sits on the back of a panel and measures its temperature. With this reading next to irradiation data, you can tell a heat loss from a real fault, and judge plant performance fairly.
