Key points
- Measures solar irradiation in W/m²
- RS485 output
- Key input for performance ratio (PR)
- Helps plan panel cleaning
Overview
Is your plant producing as much as it should? To answer that, you need to know how much sunlight reached the panels. The irradiation sensor measures this in watts per square metre (W/m²).
With irradiation data, you can compare the energy your plant made with the sunlight it received. This is the basis of the performance ratio (PR). It helps you spot dirty panels, shading, string faults or a weak inverter early.
The sensor has RS485 output and connects to our data loggers. Mount it at the same tilt and direction as your panels for the most useful reading.
